I’ve been listening to copious amounts of Matsutoya Yumi and Yamaguchi Momoe lately. Nobody sings quite like them anymore these days. I sometimes think I’d be a better person if I had grown up in the 70s/80s.

Speaking of music, the new Lily Allen single is pretty awesome.

Last night I hung out with the boys (I am rather fond of referring to them as such, teehee) at Tanjong Pagar. Drank and clubbed and stuffed (again!) ourselves post-clubbing at Maxwell. I appear to have rediscovered my chronic inability to get intoxicated by alcohol. Sucks man.

Ok I am very bored. I wish they release more episodes of 珠光宝气 at one shot.

My life feels slightly empty now that I have polished off all the 30 Rock episodes that I have acquired (all 2 smackin’ seasons). I’m now on a Will and Grace roll and it feels like I should be watching this with a bunch of rowdy wiseass-cracking friends.

I could really use a hearty plate of kimchi fried rice now.

Nothing much to blog about considering that life has been non-descript of late, but I am REALLYREALLYREALLY excited wrt Dec/Jan/Christmas/New Year ‘cos F, C, R coming back, ‘cos will eat many many foods, and ‘cos things will be SWIMMY and FUN!

Anyways, logging on to WOW today, I realised something dreadful - NO MOUSE HOW TO PLAY! NB!

If your minimum working age is 16 (this is not even taking into account the ridiculous ‘light work; under parental supervision’ caveat), why the hell do you have a system that prevents individuals below 21 from working for the government? This is simply ludicrous!

I have a splitting headache right now.

I am fucking irritated, because I missed the Lee Guitar All Stars concert (ok, at least TST gave it a bad review), and I’m missing Jens Lekman tonight, too. B just called to ask whether I wanted to share cab there, which was totally double stab in the chest. Ugh.

I am going to binge eat to make myself feel better.

Also, I have been very irritated with my stubble all day. I haven’t shaved for 2 days (somehow), and now it’s really grown a bit and it’s annoying, and I wanna shave it off but I can’t, because then tomorrow morning it would have grown out - too short to shave clean properly, but long enough to look untidy. UGH.

My mouse has gone and died on me, so I’m using the trackpad now. This is gonna take a lot of getting used to.

I seriously can’t wait to finish up my black and white roll and get it all processed. SQUEAL!

Breakfasted at Coffee Bean at Guthrie House - な・つ・か・しい～ Khin, when you get back, we must go back there again and eat black pepper chicken legs from Cold Storage. Chere, don’t you just miss their eggs ben? They don’t do it quite the same anywhere else. Was really nice to just reel back, take it easy and read the papers (okay, I lie, I was really just interested in their copy of Harper’s Bazaar).

Stocked up on film, and J and I made grand plans to Hit The Beach. But before that - detour to Parkway Parade. The main point of this paragraph, however, lies not in Parkway but the hawker centre next to it where I found THE. FUCKING. HOLY. GRAIL. OF. ALL. BEEF. NOODLES!

OH. MY. FUCKING. GOD - Words do not begin to describe the fucking rush I got when I took my first bite. The taste and consistency of the gravy, the flavour and texture of the beef, noodles, everything was phenomenal. I do not kid in the least when I say that I teared a bit when I tasted the noodles. It was really THAT good, that it blew every other beef noodle stall I’ve sampled thus far away. Hands down. No contest.

Why-oh-why do I live in the west? It appears that all the good food and hapz places are in the east. Sian.

The weather was spectacular; sunny and breezy. We really went trigger happy with the cameras. At some point of time we decided that it was very gross to have our shirts plastered to our skin with sweat, so we took our tops off and walked around topless for most part of our time there, which was liberating (eh shaddup got people check me out one ok). Note to self: bring sunblock next time, and never wear skinnies to the beach again. Ever.

I can’t wait to get this batch of photos out. Most of the shots I took at the beach were on the black and white film I currently have loaded out. I really hope they turn out well and not boring and cliche.

Ok I’m really burnt now and I’m exhausted so I should probably go to bed soon.

Suffice to say, if anybody has experience with GeBiz, please let me know, I’d appreciate it.

I am very irritated that I haven’t ORD-ed yet. I have a lot of things I need to settle and the last thing I need is funny things happening in that place that need me to go and 收拾残局. Blerg.

Thanks to a post on WDong’s blog, I am currently obsessed with Mori Shinichi’s stuff (and enka, in general); I just realised that they posted a hugeass load of his old records on the Jpopsuki tracker before, but now the torrents have all expired and have no seeds. Sian.

Today I listened to Elephant Kashimashi’s new record (not so new la, came out in January this year) for the first time - FUCKING ACE! I must have looped 「笑顔の未来へ」 about 3 million times, and I am forced to say that their cover of that Yuming song > Ringo’s cover.

Have acquired a v. nice new sky blue shirt from Litmus, which fits me to a tee. Anybody who knows me well enough would know that it is so hard for me to find fitting clothes off the shelf cos my body shape is fucked up. Oh well.

We learned a number of useful phrases in French today, with such class lines as “J’ai perdu mon numero. Je peux avoir le votre!” Obviously only Rachel will get this.

J just acquired not one but TWO film SLRs today. I am incredibly jealous. Today we played around with his Minolta X-700, which is basically a lighter, more plasticky, slightly more high-tech version of my SRT-101. I think I still like the heavy-ass old school feel my SRT gives, but the X-700 gives a very nice and crisp shutter click. Damn sexy.

Ok I am damn beat I’m not sure if I even have the stamina to go watch more Will & Grace. >.<
