cape no. 7

I am fucking STUFFED. Went with family to Copthorne Waterfront for a buffet dinner. The desserts were really sick and it was such a pity that I wasn’t on form, and thusly only had, like, 5 servings of beef. But I still managed to stuff myself to the point of pain/discomfort. HAHA really no self-restraint.

Speaking of which, I am really disgusted by the kind of people we are surrounded by. Observe the following exchange between my mother and random glutton at the buffet:

Chef serves out a new batch of grilled prawns; everybody in front of my mum in the queue takes at least SIX prawns each; finally, guy immediately in front of my mum goes and takes 5 of the remaining 6 prawns.

Glutton: Eh, sorry ah, left one only [/sheepish]

Mother: (classic Bridget-esque eye-rolling with seething irritation) It’s OK, you can have it all.

Glutton: (perks up) Really ah! Ok! -TAKES REMAINING PRAWN-

Mother and I: (THERE ARE NO WORDS)

Caught Cape No. 7 last night on a whim; R and S went off, and J decided to go out with his choir friends post-performance, so suddenly I found myself alone with nothing else to do.

All things considered, it was a beautifully shot film; Jo, I’m sure you will like the aesthetic. I don’t remember 范逸臣 looking so hot before; clearly, short hair suits him better (goodness, he is THIRTY this year leh, omg srsly!). The sound track was also very poppy and crowd-pleasing (makes mental note to acquire it). However, I thought the whole film really suffered from bad editing and far too many “HUH?” moments. A lot of the bits felt very contrived and unnatural, it was almost as if the writer had already decided that he wanted the story to happen in that context, and completely dismissed any consideration of whether the product would be believable.

Ok I realised I missed out a very, very essential item on my wishlist. Teehee so paiseh, keep adding items, BUT:

A FLASH LIGHT FOR MY CAMERA, PLEASE! (and preferably with a cable so I can sync hotshoe flashes with my camera, which uses a coldshoe)
