je m’appelle my lan lar.

French makes Japanese seem like a leisurely walk in the park.

And (this following part is gonna seem very, very negative but it’s actually not as bad as it seems lah) what I dreaded most essentially came true - very community centre-esque sort of setting, with lots of working women who thinks it’s cute to learn French, the teacher rattling off numerous French expressions, telling us this means this, that means that, without giving us any grammatical fundamentals. There was this particularly grating fat bitch who had obviously read in advance or something like that, who kept interrupting at every possible juncture, offering suggestions, telling us this means this (”right? -smiles-”) woah I wanted to hurl my pencil at her from across the room.

I’m sure it will get better, cos today’s session started off on a very bad note. Was awakened rudely from my afternoon nap by my alarm clock, and very reluctantly hauled my arse out of bed. Realised that I had yet to collect Camera Obscura tickets, and thusly scuttled down to Lot 1 to pick them up from Sistic. Figured that the bookshop at Alliance Francaise might only accept cash (MOELC has clearly left its mark on me), and thusly queued up for mother long at the ATM to withdraw cash for books. Arrived at AF at 6.57 (lesson was at 7), only to realise that the bookshop 1. accepted NETS and 2. also doubled as a Sisitc oulet, and felt like killing myself. Climbed 3 bloody storeys to find my classroom where I attended the lesson, nursing a headache. And a hungry stomach (obv. had no time for dinner).

On a slightly more pleasant note, The Job went nicely enough. The kids were late, and only 5 of them turned up, but they all seemed like an inquisitive, intelligent, good-natured bunch, and I really hope I can help them become better debaters. I found it amusing that the girls wasted no time in adding me MSN, while the boys couldn’t care less; one of them skipped training for a DOTA competition, and I literally LOL-ed at that.

OH GAWD I so don’t wanna go back to work tomorrow. Though, on a brighter note, Camera Obscura! =D
