vouslez vous.

Mamma Mia must be the singular most inane movie I’ve ever watched. OMG, I swear if it wasn’t Meryl Streep, I would have killed myself watching some lumpy middle-aged white woman with stringy blonde hair break into song 243983021 times in 2 hours. I liked the songs alot though, despite the mediocre film; this seems to be the case for the musicals I’ve watched lately. I was really expecting Madonna to start singing when they played the intro to Man After Midnight. Teehee.

I finally got my hands on the 12 Lotus OST, which I shall listen to later, as soon as I am done with this A Girl Called Eddy record - I’ve had this (AGCE) on my iPod yonks ago, until that iPod crashed, and then my computer crashed too. I first listened to it in 2004 (emo year To The Max, for no reason at all) and revisiting it now, 4 years later, I still find it every bit as heartbreakingly beautiful as I did then. She’s apparently releasing a new record soon, as is Rachael Yamagata. Can’t wait.

Visited Casual Poet finally, which was quaint in tea party sort of way. Because I was feeling like a pig, I had their (overpriced) classic breakfast - aside from the mediocre potato salad and miniscule sausages, I feel compelled to give major props for their perfectly done sunny side ups - wonderfully runny yolks, nicely cooked whites that weren’t burnt. Etc. V nice. The place was filled with quirky, pretty, useless things, the sort that I typically find charming and want to fill my room with. If I were still taking my As I’d totally study there every day.

Have come to conclusion that it helps to know somebody who works at the bar you frequent because you get better mixed drinks. Even if aforementioned somebody isn’t someone who you are on particular cordial relations with. Just knowing in a superficial hi-bye capacity at least helps.

I have gone and spoilt the Project Runway Fashion Week collections for myself. The final 6 contestants ALL showed at Fashion Week, apparently, though obviously only 3 are up in contention for the title; the other 3 are just decoys. This is potentially spoilery, so if you watch PR you might wanna stop reading here. I fucking love Leanne’s collection. It’s stylish, pretty, girly, whimsical. Other than the fact that I think she reminds me 100% of Tommy (of the brilliant green fame), I have really liked her clean, simple, to the point aesthetic so far, as compared to the convoluted fecal matter that some of the other designers have shat out (wah, I love how far I’m taking the shit metaphor) thus far.

I. FUCKING. LOVE. MY NEW EARPHONES! The sound isolation is fantastic I think I’m in serious danger of getting knocked down by a car while crossing the road one day now.

Oh wow I just realised what a positive entry this has been. I surprise even myself. Heh. I’m kinda excited about the weekend, even though I have next to nothing planned, except 1. return grossly overdue library book, 2. pay ridiculous phonebill, 3. pay people money I owe them. Wow, the theme this weekend is Debt and Penance. Awesome. Sounds like the title of a potential Booker winner.

I SUDDENLY FEEL LIKE BLEACHING MY HAIR! OPINIONS?
