On Wednesday afternoon, I received a text message from someone who doesn’t ordinarily text, asking me out to the Japanese film festival. In particular, we were supposed to catch Sakuran (artsy Oiran flick, saturated colours, film music by Shiina Ringo = WIN), but NO, because of this……thing called OH08, I am stuck in this godforsaken place rotting my life away in ennui.

Also, have been forced to turn down Jo’s offer to go watch my little airport at Baybeats for the same reason. Zzz.

And this really takes the cake - My earphones have, since last night, refused to play the main vocal layers of all my songs. Thusly, listening to my music with those earphones now have yielded an experience that is not entirely dissimilar to that of going to a karaoke place and listening to a whole slew of minus-one tracks. Am immensely irritated because said earphones were bought only 4-5 months ago. Will now have to go dig around for the purchase invoice and go all the way down to City Hall so I can go claim a new set under the warranty. I hope they actually have stock.
